Contrary to the general belief that criminal law has no relevance to business, in fact it is a very efficacious tool to get results in many legal issues. Having a keen interest and fair experience in economic offences matters viz, fraud, forgery, dishonour of cheques, I am able to apply my knowledge and work experience in Hon’ble High Court as well as Trial Courts, to get the best results for my clients.

Labour Law

One of the most integral functions in any company today is Human Resource Management, whether it be a start-up, SME or a large scale industrial unit. Every company has issues related to labour and human resource. To facilitate this, I provide a 360° audit of the legal compliances and provide effective solutions viz, adding/amending the employee policies, having robust employee contract templates, assessing and ensuring the adequate compliance of contribution to ESI, EPF etc. I also regularly represent many clients, both organisations and employees in all forums under Labour Law.

Having worked with companies, law firms as well as individual Legal Practitioners, it has helped me develop the ability to analyse any legal issue from various perspectives and the commercial objectives, organisational aspects as well as how the ligation will be perceived in the court. This gives me an astute edge to provide Advisory and Consulting to my clients by asking the right questions, identifying the appropriate objective and provide varied options and solutions.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

Something that had started as a research out of interest, very soon developed into a passion for me. I started taking interest in the issues pertaining to POSH and Women Empowerment in the nascent stage of the Act and have been since writing articles, blogs and providing able advisory. Presently, I am empanelled with many organisations which include Companies, Educational Institutions, NGO’s, Industrial units. I have also successfully delivered over 50 training on the subject as well as implemented the POSH initiative for many of my clients. I have also been part of many inquires into allegations under this Act and been instrumental by leveraging my legal expertise in the fact finding exercise.

My name is Nikhil Mengde and I am an advocate enrolled with the BAR Council of Maharashtra and Goa since 2007. I am a Law graduate from Mumbai University and have then completed Masters (MIBL) from Sydney Law School, University of Sydney.
